The terraced area at Hamm possesses top plots and is somewhat more “slatey,” (remove parentheses) thereby yielding fruitier wines in comparison to those of neighboring Uhlen. Hamm wines shares the same level of ripeness, yet are somewhat more delicate. The wines are known for their great balance, minerality, length, subtlety, and very good ageing potential. A large part of the VON DEN TERRASSEN-Rieslings also comes from this site in addition to the Hamm-Rieslings.
